Teaching

Only few months back, I was a student! I remember enjoying as a student, bunking (not too much) and coming late (almost always, the first class of the day!, some habits do not go! :D) into classes! However, taking the responsibility as a teacher, the view changes! As a student, the mentality is like, “ok, we’ll do it, may be later!” As a teacher, “It has to be now!”
I have learnt so many things in few months of my teaching career!
“Learning to take responsibility!” If I have taken some responsibility, I must fulfil it under the possible circumsrances! As a student, I was not very confident, Now, the things have changed! I am very much confident of my capabilities!
I have also learnt, “Opportunity and utilization factor!” The students whom I am teaching come from a remote place (North East India). May be, they did not have an opportunity earlier to learn, to prepare for highly competitive exams such as IIT-JEE or AIEEE or other such highly competitive exams. Somehow, they worked hard and got an opportunity to study at this well established Institute! Some of them show a high potential towards learning capabilities! Like said, “raw intelligence” In the last semester, I taught a course and had sufficient idea that atleast few students are at par with students at IITs. May be, they did not get an opportunity earlier!
Atlast, I am satisfied to start my career in a remote place, as said the population of India resides in villages. Working for people with very limited access to high quality specialized education!
